Despite being told by his high school art teacher that his artwork depicting armless cowboys and incontinent old people was “sad to look at” John MacKenzie (aka Johnny MacK; aka Lobster Boy) persevered, and ignored the harsh criticism. Johnny has been working in the graphic design field for many years, creating logo and emblem designs for sports teams and businesses, as well as working on commissioned paintings and portraits. Recently, he’s been focused on designing logos for musicians, pubs and what-have-you, as well as creating t-shirt designs that riff on pop culture, sports and whatever else grabs his interest. Born in Inverness, Scotland too many decades ago, Johnny moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada with his family when he was a wee laddie and he still calls Winnipeg home despite the cold, harsh winters (…what is he, crazy ??). His proudest accomplishment is living within walking distance of four bars !
